this policy explains what data ask odelle collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. we keep it short on purpose.
who we are
the data controller is kaan arslan, operating ask odelle (askodelle.com and the instagram and tiktok accounts @askodelle). contact: hello@askodelle.com.
what we collect
instagram interactions. when you comment a keyword on one of our posts or message us on instagram, we receive your comment text, your instagram user id and your instagram username through meta's instagram api. we use this only to send you the content you asked for by direct message and to keep a record of that exchange. we keep it for 90 days, then delete it.
purchases. if you buy a reading, we receive the details you give us so we can prepare it: your email address, birth date, birth time, birth place and your question. payment is handled by buy me a coffee; we never see or store your card details. we use this information only to prepare and deliver your reading, and we keep it for 30 days after delivery (in case of questions or corrections), then delete it.
this website. we use no cookies and no advertising trackers. the site uses cloudflare web analytics, a privacy-first tool that counts page visits in aggregate (for example how many people visited a page and from which country). it does not set cookies, does not store ip addresses, and does not build a profile of you, so no consent banner is needed. if you choose the light or dark theme, your choice is stored in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us. our hosting provider may process technical data such as ip address and request logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
why we use it
to deliver what you requested (a direct message, a reading), to answer your questions, and to keep records needed to run the service. we do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build marketing lists.
who processes it
- meta platforms (instagram): the platform through which comments and messages reach us.
- cloudflare: website hosting, delivery and cookieless aggregate visit statistics (web analytics).
- buy me a coffee: payment processing and order notifications.
these providers process data under their own privacy policies. we do not share your data with anyone else except where the law requires it.
your rights
you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. depending on where you live (for example in the eu, uk or california), you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to receive your data in a portable format. to use any of these rights, write to hello@askodelle.com or follow the steps on the data deletion page. we respond within 30 days.
age
ask odelle is for people aged 18 and over. we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
changes
if we change this policy we will update the date above. last updated: 2026-10-28.
